The empire of Britannia invaded and conquered Japan on August 10. 2010, a.t.b. with the use of their powerful combat robots, Knightmare Frames. The Japanese people, now known as Elevens, live in poor areas and neighborhoods while the Brittania live in upper class establishments. Lelouch gets mixed up in an incident involving "terrorists" and is given the power of Geass by a mysterious girl. With this new power, he now has the means to overthrow Britannia.
