What I dont Get

What I dont get about the top espadas is why none of em have used a gran ray cero or cero obscuro yet. Sure its not certain that cero obscuro wasnt a ulquiora only attack; but what about gran ray cero? I mean come on stark has a cero gun, and he never uses gran ray cero once and he is meant to be the best?

Is he retarded or something, because sure kyoraku could survive one of his cero shots with just a few scartches; but what about 3 gran ray ceros?

Why didnt Stark blast a 1,000 gran ray ceros and divide em amonst the members of the gotei 13 and vizards? He did hint he could do that afterall. "you can fire one cero back at me but what about 1,000".

Also why the hell did stupid second espada chase after stupid vice captain, when he could have nailed him with a gran ray cero? That would have meant he could have concentrated his effort on soi fon sooner.

Why didnt Halibel just fire a gran ray cero to roughen up hitsugaya?

good point, reason for stark, maybe he didn't have time as kyokaru kept on attacking him all of a sudden and all, about the 3rd, that is indeed weird

anyway, i dont think the gran ray is a different attack from a regular cero, it might just be a special name given when the espada fire as powerful a cero as possible, which is much more powerful than anything a regular arrancar could come up with. the arrancar cetainly seem able to control how much power they use in a cero.
cero obscura (translates as "black zero") literally refers to the colour of the cero, not its strength. ulquiorra was simply stating he had a black cero in his second ressurection form.
as for barragan, he was toying with soi fon's lieutenant with a "deliberately slow" respira. he lost because he got arrogant, not because he didnt use his cero.

A Gran Ray Cero is a cero that must be mixed with their blood first by them cutting the appendage that fires it with their ZP, that's where it's power comes from. We know that didn't happen when they used ceros, so that's how we know they didn't use one.

I guess cuz each espada needs at least one claim to fame, and gran ray cero was grimmjow's. Agreed that top 3 espada could have approached their fights differently, but let's face it. Starrk was fighting 3 high-ranked captains. Primera or no, he didn't stand much of a chance. Halibel flat out sucked.

i dont read the manga and im not as exact as some of the people on here but diddint they all react as though grimmjow was being dumb for pulling out a gran rey cero?....i cant remember if its what they said or what i interpreted it as but i think that that worlds stability cant handle gran rey's allot, probably due to the already extra high density of spirit energy on that plane.

Your right in the fact that Harribel and her Fraccion were surprised about Grimmjow using the Gran Rey. They were saying it is a little excessive because of the ceiling of Las Noches . However the Fake Karakura Town isn't in Hueco Mundo and I don't think that the Espada care much about accidentally destroying FKT.

Basically even Starrk couldn't fire 1000 Gran Rey Ceros, his gun release may only allow weaker ceros but lots of them.
Barragan's reason makes sense.
Hallibel just didn't have the time. She may have felt like she had other ways of winning first but than her battle ended unexpectedly.

well i think that none of the three espada thought that they need to use the grand cero because they were strong enough to defeat their opponents. and besides they have good techniques as it is and they dont need to use any more.
