Unknown Person - Lelouch IS NOT DEAD, here is the explanation: 1. He killed his father and he has his code, but it gets active when the user dies. Remember, in C.C.'s memories she says: "Please, get out of my body" reffering to the Geass when she dies for first time and realizes that she is inmortal. Well the Geass gets active in Lelouch when he dies. 2. C.C. is talking with Lelouch... think again: She never talks again with Marianne when she dies completly or she never talks or see Mao when he dies, so... Lelouch is alive. 3. In this final scene C.C says: "The power of Geass brings loneliness...thats not quite right is it, Lelouch?" So... if Lelouch is not alone anymore and is with C.C... he must to be the wagon driver, ne?, look how C.C. nods her head in the direction of the wagon driver =) 4. R2 = R.R. in japanese the "L" letter is pronunced like a "R", so If all is pronuntiation we have this: R.R. = L.L (In english) = Lelouch Lamperouge so... he is inmortal. Another exponation with the pronuntiation is C.C.'s name... it's never have been revealed, but her name must to be Elizabeth, ¿why? C.C. = Sissy = Some people calls Sissy to woman called Elizabeth. Just a pronuntiation game. 5. Lelouch traspassed his memories to Nunally before "die"... only a user with a powerful code can do it... we know that C.C. can do it, but not Lelouch, so... he is inmortal. You have to analyse every chapter and understand the Geass power to conclude this, but believe me, LELOUCH IS NOT DEAD!! =P

Debemos considerar que Charles era inmortal, pero Lelouch lo "libró" de aquel destino, por lo tanto Lelouch obtivo el código de su padre, pero ustedes se prreguntarán: ¿Eentonces por qué no ví el código en una de sus palmas? La respuesta es sencilla, aunque requiere entendimiento de lo que es el Geass. Recordemos las memorias de C.C. en las que decía "¡Porfavor, sal de mi cuerpo, no entres en él", ella se refería al código que había aparecido en él una vez que murió, por lo tanto EL CÓDIGO SE ACTIVA CUANDO EL USUARIO MUERE, siendo así Lelouch es inmortal. 2. C.C. está habalando con Lelouch. Sí, ella también hablaba con Marianne, personaje que pensabamos que estaba muerta, pero NOOO, estaba viva!! y dejó de hablar con ella cuando Lelouch realmente la mató junto a su padre, ahí acabaron las conversaciones con Marianne. Es más, sigamos pensando: C.C. no habló con Mao cuando éste murió y también estab conectado con ella por el Geass, sin embargo nunca más se volvió a saber nada de él, por lo tanto, si C.C. estaba hablando con Lelouch es porque ESTÁ VIVO... y fíjense en la escena la dirección de la cabeza de C.C... es como si hablase con el conductor de la carreta... ¿Lelouch? xD 3. Las últimas palabras de C.C. en la escena son: "El poder del Ggeass brinda soledad... eso no es completamente cierto, verdad Lelouch?". Entonces, si Lelouch no está solo y obviamente está con C.C., quiere decir que NO MURIÓ. 4. Otra explicación es la sigla "R2", lo pensé desde el primer episodio de la temporada y creo que mi teoría es acertada, todo es un juego de pronunciación, así es: R2 = R.R. En japonés la letra "L" se pronuncia como una "R", por lo tanto tenemos que: R2 = R.R = L.L. = Lelouch Lamperouge Y si les quedan dudas de que es inmortal, me voy a explicar el nombre de C.C. basándome también en la pronunciación: C.C. = Sissy En inglés C.C. es Sissy y Sissy es un diminutivo de Elizabeth, por lo tanto si todo es un juego de pronunciaciones C.C. se llama Elizabeth. Vendría a cobrar sentido lo de R2, ¿no? 5. Lelouch le transfirió a Nunally sus memorias... sabemos que eso lo puede hacer C.C., pero no sabíamos que Llelouch podía también!! xD, esto nos confirma una vez más que pasó a ser un inmortal. Yya chicos y chicas, es toda mi explicación, pero para mí Lelouch no está muerto, es un inmortal y estará con C.C. por la eternidad =P Debía morir a luz pública porque en realidad, no mucho lo iban a querer, pero en realidad está vivoooo!!! Yeah sad ending, but had to be done for peace between the two factions. Was hoping that the Geass would come off then it didn't have to end that way and his parents were the source of everything and they didn't care. :(
Agreed Arcenaux, Code Geass Is the greatest anime out there! way better then Death Note ( I hated the ending..god i hate "M"...But Code Geass is way better then Death Note!).

In the end you might notice that C.C no longer has the Geass symbol on her fore head. Also Orange sama was smiling still after lelouch was stabed when he had vowed to protect lelouch and nunaly. I do agree with the fact that it could be lelouch driving the wagon but it's all guessing. I think they will make a new season or a film to close the anime cos this ending left it to open

Guys I'd have to clarify that Lelouch promised C.C. to make her smile.. That is why it is implied that Lelouch is alive, probably the wagon driver. And I doubt everyone around them would just let him die, even if it was his plan i.e. Orange-sama.
